Terms applicable if you send a Treasure Box

1.1 What is a Treasure Box?

  • A Treasure Box is a feature that lets you put some of your Coins into a virtual box, which are then randomly shared with other users.
  • Using the Treasure Box feature follows Tepnot’s Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
  • To create and send a Treasure Box, you must:
    • Be at least 18 years old (or 19 if you are in Korea).
    • Have enough Coins in your Tepnot balance. Coins are virtual items that can be purchased on Tepnot. (See the Virtual Item Policy for more details.)
    • Treasure Box is only available in certain countries. Whether you can use this feature depends on your location. Any related data is handled according to Tepnot’s Privacy Policy.

1.2 How can you send a Treasure Box?

You can send a Treasure Box in two ways:

1. Standard

  • Choose from 3 preset options, each with a fixed number of Coins and number of potential grabbers.
  • A fixed 3-minute countdown starts as soon as you send the Treasure Box.

2. Customisable

You can create your own setup by selecting the number of Coins and potential grabbers, as long as you follow these rules:

  • The number of Coins must always be greater than the number of potential grabbers.
  • You can set up to 200 potential grabbers.
  • The countdown must be between 1 to 5 minutes.
  • You can use a maximum of 10,000 Coins per Treasure Box.
  • To improve the LIVE experience, the minimum number of Coins required to create a Treasure Box may increase over time.
  • Each Treasure Box lasts for 10 minutes and will expire and disappear afterwards.
  • If multiple people send a Treasure Box during a LIVE, the Treasure Boxes will be displayed in a chronological order by their creation time.

1.3 What happens once the Treasure Box is sent?

    • The Treasure Box is irrevocable once sent.
    • The Coins not collected by participants will be returned to your account balance within 24 hours if:
    • the creator ends the LIVE before the Treasure Box expires; or
    • there are Coins left in a Treasure Box after the Treasure Box expires.

1.4 Records

  • You may check the amount of Coins you have used to send Treasure Boxes in the Sending Record at the top left corner of the Treasure Box creation page.

Terms applicable if you participate in a Treasure Box event

2.1 Treasure Box event

  • The organiser of this event is the user who sent the Treasure Box, which you can see by clicking on the Treasure Box.
  • The event lasts for 10 minutes, after which time, the Treasure Box will expire and disappear. However, if the host ends the LIVE before the expiry of the Treasure Box, the event will end.

2.2 How can you participate in a Treasure Box event?

  • To participate in a Treasure Box event, you must:
    • Be at least 18 years old (or 19 in South Korea, 20 in Japan).
    • Not use any unfair or fraudulent methods, such as bots, cheat software, or similar tools, to influence the distribution of Coins.
  • Treasure Box is available only in selected countries. Your ability to participate depends on your country of residence. Any related data is handled according to the Tepnot Privacy Policy.
  • Once a Treasure Box is sent, all eligible users (hosts, viewers, and even the sender) can join the event and try to grab it.
  • You can participate by grabbing the Treasure Box at the end of the countdown for a chance to receive some of the Coins shared by the sender.
  • Participation in a Treasure Box event is completely free.

2.3 How can you win Coins from a Treasure Box?

  • To grab a Treasure Box and collect Coins, you need to be one of the first users to click the Treasure Box icon when it becomes available. (See the Virtual Item Policy for more details about Coins.)
  • The number of winners depends on the number of grabbers set by the sender.
For example, if the sender allows 10 grabbers, the first 10 users who click the icon at the end of the countdown will receive Coins.
  • The number of Coins each user receives is randomly distributed, but every winner will get at least 1 Coin.
  • Coins received from a Treasure Box cannot be exchanged for cash or substituted with anything else.
  • You are solely responsible for all use made of any Coins you collect thanks to a Treasure Box.
  • The usernames, avatars and Coins collected of grabbers of the Treasure Box will be displayed on the “Lucky User” list in accordance with the Tepnot Privacy Policy. The Lucky User list will only be visible to the relevant Treasure Box participants. If you object to your username, avatar or prize being made public in this way, please do not participate.

2.4 Records

  • You can view the Coins you have collected from Treasure Box events by going to:
Balance > Recharge > Coins History.

Portal

Both you and the creator of the LIVE can check how many new viewers have been brought to this LIVE through your Portal by tapping the portal icon located on the top of the screen. Note that Tepnot doesn’t guarantee the number of new viewers that are brought through your Portal.

You can check your Portal sending history by tapping the receipt icon located next to Portal.

Can I unsend a Portal?

Sending Portals and Treasure Boxes can’t be undone.

The number of Coins needed to send a Portal will be displayed to you before you send it, which includes the Coins charged to allow you to invite new viewers and Coins saved for a standard Treasure Box.

Once you send a Portal, the Coins in the Treasure Box that are not collected will be returned to your Coin balance. The Coins for inviting more viewers are not refundable unless there is a technical error.
